Hand Hewn Beams
Hand Hewn Beams are one of the original building materials for palaces and temples. They are labor intensive making them very unique in our modern age. The hewing process requires a meticulous attention to detail to produce quality products.
If the hand hewn beam is for a ceiling joist or rafter we will want to mill one side to true. Corner mountings should have two adjacent sides milled true. This extra touch ensures better construction through uniformity where it counts.
